Charlie White constructs photographs much like a director constructs a film.

He hires actors, and employs visual effects teams. He sees a photograph from conception to post production making sure every last pixel is his own.

Going into graduate school, White's plan was to make pornography into fine art.

White insists the visual language of porn persists even in his newest work. He points to the shallow sets, the comely blondes, and the unnerving flatness.
